At the age of 25, he enlisted in the Queen’s Royal Regiment, where he trained as a sniper. Reflecting on his longevity, Mr. Rose credits the salty water he drank while serving as a Desert Rat during the war. This experience, he believes, played a crucial role in maintaining his health.
